Guttercleaning123 provides a number of significant advantages over fixed gutter systems.
- Fast, easy and safe gutter cleaning
From the safety of the ground, leaves fall from your gutter in one fell swoop with minimal effort on your part!
- More effective than gutter covers, gutter guards and foam inserts
Gutter covers and gutter guards are available in a variety of materials and styles and they, along with foam inserts are intended to keep leaves out while allowing water in.
What eventually happens with all of them is leaf build up along the relatively flat sometimes valley like area where they meet the shingles. As leaves collect and buildup over time they begin decaying and forming a line of debris that often spouts plant growth. When this line of leaves/debris becomes wide enough, rain water coming down the roof flows across it and often right over the gutter onto the ground. At this point the protection product has completely failed.
The most expensive of all gutter protection systems draws long aluminum sheets into an integrated gutter with a cover. The leaves falls off the curved face and miss the gutter while rain water follows the curve around and goes into the gutter. But this very high cost system can not keep pine needles and ceramic gutter flakes out which build up over time and eventually need to be cleaned out. Since the cover is immovable this is no small task!
And with GC123 downspouts never clog up either. Over the drain hole in each gutter a tent-shaped mesh screen is installed. This keeps debris from entering and clogging the collector box and downspout. As debris builds up in the gutter it collects against the mesh screen. The tent shape allows water to flow over the piled up debris and pass through the upper part of the screen. When the gutter is rotated over for cleaning, the debris around the screen falls away.
GC123 is the only system that empties all debris from the gutter, making it the most effective system there is for clean free flowing gutters, bar none.
- Eliminates the ongoing cost of multiple gutter per year
Gutter cleaning is required multiple times per year. How often depends on the number, type and proximity of trees to your home. Every homeowner making an investment in gutter protectors expects to reduce or eliminate the recurring cost, whether in time or money, of gutter cleaning .
Cleaning out fixed gutters takes hours! Cleaning out GC123 converted gutters takes a few seconds for each gutter section! This saves you time if you do it yourself, or money if you hire someone to do it for you!
In either case, the danger associated with using ladders is gone for you, or your help!
- Eliminates dented gutters
Getting a ladder into a good position to clean a gutter is often a no win situation. Especially since it must be moved and repositioned many times as the cleaning proceeds along the gutter.
High gutters require the use of extension ladders which sometimes must be leaned against the gutter in a way that places a lot of weight on the gutter due to obstacles in the way, uneven ground, you name it. Doing this can sometimes dent the gutter. I am not knocking the guys who do the cleaning as sometimes there was no way to avoid it, until now. The advent of GC123 converted gutters requires NO Ladders and the unsightly dents that can result from using them!
- Eliminate fascia board rot
Fixed gutters near trees become clogged, often soon after cleaning, and overflow during subsequent rains. The water overflowing the backside of the gutter gets trapped between the gutter and fascia board. This moisture can not evaporate and eventually rots the fascia board, which then must be replaced.
By enabling easy and complete cleaning, GC123 avoids gutter overflow in the first place. In addition, the inherent design of GC123 places the gutter rear wall approximately 1/8" away from the fascia board. Any moisture present on the fascia board whether by humidity, or wind blown rain is exposed to air and can evaporate, thus preventing moisture induced rot.
- Allows access to fascia board
With the gutter flipped over, the fascia board is exposed from top to bottom along it's full length except where the rotating brackets connect it to the fascia. If necessary, any of the rotating brackets can be loosened and temporarily moved aside allowing complete inspection of the fascia board along with any caulking and/or painting that may be required.
Fixed gutters on the other hand, block access to most of the fascia board surface necessitating gutter removal in order to access the fascia board.
- Mosquitoes are deprived of breeding ground in gutters
Mosquitoes are attracted to standing water. Wet debris buildup in uncleaned gutters traps water which brings mosquitoes and the diseases they carry - right to your home.
GC123 eliminates this attraction for mosquitoes each time your gutters are emptied.
- Avoid roof leaks by eliminating snow and ice buildup on gutters
Multiple snow falls during winter months can accumulate and freeze along the unheated roof edge and gutters. As the snow on the roof melts during the day, water is trapped at the roof edge by the frozen buildup and backs up under the first few courses of shingles often causing roof leaks.
GC123 gutters can help interrupt this process when they are rotated, emptied of snow and returned upright after a snowfall. Doing this soon after a snowfall helps prevent large ice buildup at the roof edge by enabling snow melt to run off the roof edge.
Upright gutters have been designed and tested to hold heavy gutter weight, which is distributed along the bracket support arm. However, the brackets are not designed to hold heavy weight in or on the inverted gutter as all of this weight is applied to the end of the bracket support arm creating a moment-arm that can potentially stress the bracket arms.
For this reason there are two conditions that should be avoided:
-
Rotating over a gutter completely full of solid ice which may not fall out, potentially stressing the bracket arms.
-
Leaving a gutter rotated over for an entire winter season, potentially allowing a large buildup of snow and ice on the inverted gutter, the weight of which could stress the bracket arms.
